* 7:00 am We leave out of La Ceiba and travel 100 kms by land towards Lancetilla Botanical Garden founded in 1926 as an experimental garden and in this present time it is considered by its size, diverse flora and fauna as the third largest in this hemisphere it hosts various endemic species a simple must for bird watchers and botanist fans. Here we do a guided tour with a local guide that interprets the main trail for us.

*At 11:30 am After Lancetilla we continue our journey into Tela and view the city from its highest observation deck where we can have lunch that by the way it is as great as the view.

*In the evening we go around the city and then visit the Garifuna Villages of Triunfo de la Cruz and La Ensenada to experience this fascinating culture.

*5:00 pm We head back to La Ceiba.

This is a 40min motorboat ride; we also hike a trail throughout the peninsula visiting Puerto Escondido and Puerto Caribe to see monkeys, plenty of flora and fauna. After this we board our boat to continue our visit towards the end of the peninsula that consist of  a system of cliffs full of birds that was formerly used as the polywin of the Air Force during the ‘80s What a view! Finally we go to Cocalito Garifuna Community to do snorkeling at the only coral reef barrier in the mainland and enjoying the lovely beach.
